Happy Kid

It’s been such a great summer, I can’t believe it’s coming to an end so fast… Many amazing memories have certainly been made over the past couple of months. The Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Small Halls Festival, The Gordie Sampson Songcamp, plenty of Songwriter Circles, House Concerts, and some awesome shows/writing sessions with my peers and friends have all added up to one happy Guthro!! I seem to be surrounding myself with such talented people more and more which has been so inspiring on a whole other level. From co-writing lots of songs to recording and producing, I’ve been opening up my mind and realizing how many great musical hobbies I love to be a part of. As for now I am looking forward to hopping on an airplane in October and landing overseas to tour and write songs for a month, while some other great and exciting ideas are floating around for what will happen in the new year! To sum it all up I suppose you could say I feel very happy and lucky to be where I am at this point. I hope you feel the same way!

Thanks for the visit!

Much Love,

Dylan’s a hit at the Hydrostone

Dylan performed a show this past Saturday at the Hydrostone in Halifax for their “Music in the Park” event. Hundreds of people brought their chairs and blankets to spend the afternoon in one of Halifax’s most unique neighbourhoods – and they enjoyed music by Molly Thomason, Carleton Stone, Mo Kenney, Kim Wempe, and Dylan – who made a few new fans.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this a great celebration!
