First Record, First Nomination, First Award!

“All That’s True is one of the strongest debut albums I’ve heard this year.” – The Guardian

“the hot new artist on the scene” – Bob Mersereau Music Review

On Sunday night at the Music Nova Scotia Gala Awards Show, Dylan Guthro took home the Music Nova Scotia New Artist Recording of the Year award for his debut release All That’s True – an exciting accomplishment! It is Dylan’s first award nomination and a testament of his talent that he won right out of the gate!

This is all hot on the heels of five weeks in Europe, where Dylan spent a week working with House of Song writers from Denmark, toured Denmark in support of his release on RecArt Records, and supported Bruce Guthro on his sold-out Celtic Crossing Tour of Germany.

A busy guy since the launch of All That’s True in February with two sold-out shows at The Carleton, notable East Coast performances have included The ECMA 2012 CBC Mainstage Concert, The Stan Rogers Festival, The Gordie Sampson Songcamp, The Right Some Good Festival, and The Ceilidh Cup.

Dylan will head out with friend (and fellow MNS 2013 award winner) Carleton Stone next week to celebrate their wins!
